Turbulence of Spring

Spring Summer 2020 is an unpredictable time for the world, life as we know it has changed. We’ve taken the opportunity to re-connect with ourselves, with nature and to nurture our souls.

The Saint and Sofia SS20 collection is bold, versatile and expressive. Every style has been carefully designed to express your individuality in a season full of uncertainty. We’ve sourced the finest fabrics from family-owned fabric mills in Italy, Turkey and Portugal and tailored every style in our dedicated studios in Europe. We’ve used Organic Cotton, Lace, Leather, Eco Viscose and other fine materials to provide comfortable, on-trend styles in flattering shapes.

Our fabric choices for this season have prioritised comfort and quality. The collection draws on breathable and light-weight materials, all sustainably sourced, to keep you cooler in these warmer months.

Following our pledge to minimise environmental impact, we’ve approached our sourcing process with a sustainable mindset. The cotton in our range is organic GOTS certified, our minimal use of synthetic fabrics are from recycled materials and we look to work with sustainably-minded fabric types such as Tencel and Ecovero, a certified Ecolabel fabric - the highest form of sustainable certification in Europe.

Design Inspirations

The SS20 collection is bold, versatile and expressive. Every piece has been carefully designed to express your individuality in a season full of uncertainty.

Our London Designers have taken inspiration from two very different cultural references; geometric forms within the Op Art movement, and the lighter, more romantic side of grunge music within the early 1990s. With a nod to current trends including checks, polka dots, tiers and lace - the look within the collection has been styled with a soft rock edge.

Using bold monochromes, softened by touches of khaki and beige, the collection is ramped up with hints of Hot Flame. The collection has been developed to complement your own personality. Mix your patterns, textures and create your own style with attitude.

The lookbook

Plans change. A season full of social distancing and WFH meant that whilst we are unable to creatively shoot these looks in the ways we once hoped, we’re able to adapt thanks to the joys of design.

Creativity and imagination are wonderful qualities; allowing us all the ability to escape from the everyday humdrum of our lives for a little while, something we hope this Lookbook helps you achieve.

This Lookbook aims to replace our initial plan of a desert road-trip style campaign; a trip focusing on the joys of rebellion and escapism. Instead, this is replaced with open, empty landscapes that highlight the natural beauty of deserts without movement.

Made in Europe

We’ve set up dedicated production studios in Europe to exclusively produce our styles, again saving cost and ensuring the highest standards of quality. Our close relationship with each factory means all materials are 100% traceable, intermediary costs are removed and we pay a fair price for our fabrics.

When sourcing fabrics we look for three things; the highest quality fabrics, sustainably sourced and at a fair price. We work directly with family-owned fabric mills in Europe to reduce our carbon footprint and to cut out the middle-men. This way, we can deliver a better product and at a better price to our customers.

collection fabrics

We source fabrics from mainly family-owned fabric mills in Europe. This season, we've all faced incredible challenges caused by the disruption of COVID-19. We've worked with all of our partners to ensure continuous supply where possible. Some had to close, some stayed open but we were united in our determination to make it work.

We've used a range of Eco-friendly fabrics in this collection such as Ecovero, Tencel and Organic Cotton. You can read more about each fabric used on our style pages.

The road trip mixtape

Music lies in our hearts and in our souls. Listen to the sound of our Spring Summer collection for 2020 with our carefully curated mixtape on Spotify. Journey to eternal star-soaked summers, road trips with no end and memories of lazy summer days. It’s a playlist full of songs that take us back to the summer days and nights shared with lifelong friends.

Each track has been carefully selected to capture the very essence of our new collection for Spring-Summer 2020. In it, you’ll hear some old songs, some new ones, and some from artists you may not have heard of (but we think you’ll love).

Whilst summer adventures, festivals and travels abroad are paused - travel back to your favourite summers through the music. So, hit play, turn it up and relax.
